A New Spiritual Vision
The division between sacred and secular is as artificial as the division between spirit and body. The challenge of our time is to reclaim their original unity in a new global, spiritual integration that deepens our capacity to love and meets our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This revelatory landscape is the foundation upon which a new spiritual vision will flourish. May we work together to alleviate the suffering and to preserve the holiness of all beings and life forms in the circle of creation.

Deepest Core of Silence
"Contemplation is always a revolutionary act. It subverts the daily tedium and searches for the kernel of meaning hidden at the center of each thing. It is thus not the talent of a spiritual elite, but the deepest core of silence present in all of us. Its radicalness is also the quest for normalcy and everyday quiet. But for women, especially those who labor to raise children, work, and tend to families, contemplation often becomes a subversive choice. Bombarded daily with conflicting cultural commitments and media images ascribed to females, most women probably do not identify themselves as mystics or believe they are capable of leading a contemplative life. However, unlike our spiritual predecessors, women today do not need to confine themselves to a cloister or cloak themselves in religious clothing to live in a contemplative way.
