A New Spiritual Vision
The division between sacred and secular is as artificial as the division between spirit and body. The challenge of our time is to reclaim their original unity in a new global, spiritual integration that deepens our capacity to love and meets our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This revelatory landscape is the foundation upon which a new spiritual vision will flourish. May we work together to alleviate the suffering and to preserve the holiness of all beings and life forms in the circle of creation.
The Mystical Glance of Oneness
"...The mystical glance of oneness is not abstract. It translates into a oneness of spirit that spills over into the affairs of the world and calls us to forge a state of consciousness that sees reality from God's perspective.
One of the highest attributes of the spiritual life, the oneness of creation arises from an existential fact: the greater the effacement of the ego-self, the more one is attuned to . . . an invisible matrix of being, a web of relations so intimate and sensitive that we cannot help but be awed by beauty. Divine Mystery is this intricate matrix of being, pouring itself out, interpenetrating reality, dancing in the circle of life, ebbing and flowing with the passion of simply being.
Oneness is a holy sight. It is a key to the mystery of existence and the source of compassion, generosity, and hope. It is the mystical sight granted that tells us who we are, where we belong, and from whence we come. In a fleeting glimpse, we know and understand how profoundly loved we are, how profoundly connected we are, and how profoundly desired we are."
